Calls For Work

Here's where you'll find calls for work that we find appropriate for our members. We scan as many sites as we are able and post what we feel are the best of the crop, both local, national, and international.

Like anything, do some research to see if the call is a good fit for you and your work. Some calls will require fees and some will not. It's a good idea to be sure what you send is appropriate to the call before you spend your money.

Any listing we post here, should not be construed as an endorsement. While we will try and screen for what we feel are the more reputable sponsors, we cannot guarantee they are. While most exhibit spaces are run by very nice people with nothing but respect for their artists, not all are. Do your due diligence! We cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise from participation in any event/exhibit/etc. that's listed here. All that being said, to the best of our knowledge, such incidences are rare. If you have had a poor experience with any organization listed here, please let us know and we will remove it. Conversely, if you know of a call or a space/gallery with a great reputation that you feel would be worth-while listing, let us know that too.

The 2016 Click! Pop-Up Exhibition
September 29, 2016 to October 27, 2016
Reception: September 29, 6-8pm

The Exhibit:
Click! is calling all photographers to exhibit in The Frontier Building in RTP for the month of October. This exhibition will coincide with the Click! Triangle Photography Festival. This call-for-art is open to all photographic processes and aesthetics.  The Click! Pop-Up Exhibition's juror is Chris Ogden.

The Theme:
The theme for this years exhibit will be: In an Instant. Photography is the only art that can be created with the click of a shutter. Preserving a moment, saving time. Henri Cartier Bresson spoke of "The Decisive Moment". That instant when the elements of form and substance came together in a geometrically pleasing way. Click! is asking artists to show us their decisive moment, the work you create, In an Instant...

 About The Juror:
Chris Ogden is a professional photographic artist, educator, and expedition leader who specializes in fine art, landscape, and commercial photography. He travels from pole to pole to discover, capture, and share the “essence” of places and moments. His work is enthusiastically owned by private and corporate collections alike. Chris particularly enjoys teaching, whether in classroom workshops, photo safaris, image critiques, or private mentoring. Chris has judged dozens of photography contests, both online and in print.
